Most people know there is a time to throw in the towel. We may be persistent in what we are trying to accomplish but eventually, we know that it is an exercise in futility.
Dogs don’t seem to have the ability to reason in that way. In fact, some are extremely persistent and will never give up.
It seems as if Ruben the bulldog is just such a pooch. Ruben’s family regularly shares about him on social media so we can keep up with his adorable antics.
One day, Ruben wanted some attention but the problem was, his human was sleeping.
As his owner shared on YouTube, Ruben had walked into the room and discovered his human sleeping, so now he was in a bind. He could have walked away, leaving the man to sleep peacefully but he decided it was just too important that he get petted.
That is when the adorable scene unfolds in front of us. We are fortunate that it was captured on video because so many of us can relate to it.
The video clip itself may have been short, but it still has a lot of truth behind it. Many people came forward to comment on the video, saying that they have experienced similar with their own dog.
In the end, the single look from Ruben was the real key to his popularity. It was the look that told his human, and the rest of us that he was never going to give in.
