10 year old Bobby was adopted him in November 2016 from BLIND DOG RESCUE UK. He was found in a shelter in Bulgaria, where he had lived for over a year. He is completely blind and had been abandoned on the street after his elderly owners died and their family did not want him.
Bobby was well looked after in the shelter but blind dogs are hard to re-home. Thankfully, a local rescuer, AJ, found him and Blind Dog Rescue UK transported him to a foster home in the UK.
Bobby’s forever family saw his picture just before he arrived and they fell in love! Three weeks later, they picked him up and the rest is history!
Bobby doesn’t let his blindness hold him back and loves walks and playing with his toys. He has his own Instagram account (@BOBBY.THE.BLINDIE) which they use to show the world that blind dogs live just as happy lives as fully sighted dogs and lack of sight should not put off people from adopting dogs like Bobby.
