A little dog with special needs is making BIG headlines along with his new friend … and it’s a story we can’t stop smiling about!
Baxter’s human, Amy Jo Martin, brought Baxter into Lowe’s to “tune up” his doggy wheelchair. An employee, named Andy Morales, offered his services with a smile. Andy was thrilled to meet Baxter and got down on the floor to play with him.
Baxter is one lucky pup. He was rescued by Pawsitive Rescue Armenia and thankfully ended up with Amy Jo. He needs his wheels to get around but like any “vehicle,” it occasionally needs a tune up. So Amy Jo went to Lowe’s Home Improvement in Wilkesboro, North Carolina where she met the very helpful Andy Morales.
Andy took this particular job very seriously, knowing how important Baxter’s little wheelchair is. Amy Jo needed someone who could adjust Baxter’s chair using some creative thinking and Andy did a terrific job! He attached an anti-tip weight to Baxter’s chair and spruced it up. The result was exactly what Amy Jo had hoped for. Plus, Andy did it all with a big, doggy-loving heart and warm smile.
Andy even offered to dog-sit Baxter should the occasion arise. Andy, according to Amy Jo, went above and beyond his job. She wrote all about her experience on Love What Matters on Facebook. “If you happen to live near Wilkesboro, NC, stop in Lowes and shake Andy’s hand. He’s a gem!” Amy Jo, I happen to agree with you 100% !
