Thousands of dogs are stuck in shelters all over the world. Some are lucky enough to be adopted, while others spend their entire lives in shelters and never get to feel love.
This dog, named Ardyn, is one of the lucky ones. Ardyn was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky and brought to the Delco SPCA in Pennsylvania.
She had spent six months in shelters and foster homes, and waited day after day for someone to notice her and want to take her home.
That day finally came for Ardyn. A family who went to the shelter saw Ardyn and fell in love with her at first sight. They knew they wanted to adopt Ardyn and get her out of that lonely kennel. When they came back to adopt her, Arydn greeted them with a wagging tail. It was like she knew that this family was saving her.
They signed all of the adoption papers and finally took her home. There, Ardyn was able to be a pet for the first time. In fact, there were many firsts for Ardyn. She finally felt love, she finally got to sleep in a real bed, she gets yummy dinners, she’s able to play in her new backyard, and she enjoys going for walks.
She lives with young children who love her so much and are always playing with her. They will get to grow up together and will always be the best of friends!
