While the world continues to battle the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the American Kennel Club (AKC) is expanding its PupPals Program so you can send anyone a ‘puppygram’.
“The AKC PupPals Program provides people in need of uplifting with a message from a canine friend,” the organization writes.
“Anyone is eligible to receive a note, including people who are struggling with an illness, the illness/death of a loved one (human or pet), who are missing a deployed loved one, or who are otherwise struggling through a difficult time.”
You can submit anyone you’d like to receive a nomination. If the person is under the age of 18, then they request that their parents or legal guardians fill out the form for them.
AKC will then send that person a letter or a video from one of their canine companions spread joy.
The AKC is also asking that people submit videos of their own dogs so that they can share them with others.
