RECALL ALERT: Pet Food and Treats Recalled In 2018

2018 has not started off well for many major pet food makers. Salmonella, a bacteria that makes you and your dog sick, has been causing most of the recalls so far this year. Fortunately, many of the recalls are voluntary and are occurring after results from regular testing of samples, which are showing salmonella.

Harris Teeter Dog Food Recall- November 2018

Harris Teeter of Matthews, NC, is recalling Abound Chicken and Rice Dog Food due to elevated levels of vitamin D.

Martin Dog Food Recall- November 2018

Giant Food Stores and Martin’s Food Markets are voluntarily recalling certain lots of Nature’s Promise Dog Food due to elevated levels of vitamin D.

Lidl Dog Food Recall- November 2018

Lidl USA is voluntarily recalling specific lots of Orlando brand Grain Free Chicken & Chickpea Superfood Recipe Dog Food due to elevated levels of vitamin D.
